1st generation of computer

                        

The 1^st generation of computers used very large number of vaccum tubes in their circuitry . These computers were very big size often their require a large room to be installed . The 1^st generation of computers very expensive mainly .It is used for scientific purpose . These computers were highly customized computers may utilized complex calculation .These computers  were able to program only machine language which is the low level programming language .

                                            such computers able to solved one task at a time .These computers are huged consumed of electricity and also generate huze heat . Maintainence of these computers was also difficult .

                               

         UNIVAC ( Universal Automatic Calculator ) and ENIAC ( Electronic Numerical Integrated and Calculator ) are the prime example of 1^st  generation of computers The time period of 1^st generation of coputer is considered from 1940 -1956 .

       Disadvantage

Ø They were  bulking size .

Ø They were consumed a lot of electricity .

Ø They were generate a lot of heat also .

Ø They were very expansive .

Ø The different components failed frequently .

Ø Its maintained was high .

Ø For commercial use these computers are difficult programs .
